Kingdom Building Centre Update

Pastor Stanley has been quite busy building the Kingdom Building Centre!

Ever since we first met in 2018, I have known that The Lord was going to bring forth amazing things through a kingdom partnering of Pastor Stanley and LifeLight Kingdom Communities. It took a while, but the pieces slowly fell together and just six years later, the first Kingdom Community Center is coming forth!

I was given the chance to return to Malawi this past February to visit a good friend of mine who was in need of prayer for healing and while I was there I was able to meet up with Pastor Stanley to encourage him to begin to build the Kingdom Building Centre he wanted to bring forth in the Machinga area. He had already purchased a piece of land within the mostly Muslim village and had even been given favor with the village elders to create the centre there despite being a Christian Pastor in a predominantly Muslim village.

Pastor Stanley was also able to bless many of the villagers with bags of maize while the area was suffering from extreme food shortages. He has been a constant source of encouragement to the villagers which is softening their hearts and drawing them closer to the Lord unbeknownst to them.

I was able to return to the land I love in early September and actually got to visit the Village in person to meet villagers and see the Kingdom Building Centre! It was a wonderful moment of making new friends as well as singing songs together and sharing of the Word. At the end of our time together we invited them to come forward to receive the Lord and about thirty chose to come forward. What a great celebration!

One of the huge piles of bricks Pastor Stanley was able to buy at a greatly discounted rate when people were highly motivated to sell bricks in order to make money to buy things during the food shortage last spring.

Pastor Stanley has completed the walls for the Kingdom Building Centre and is ready to put the roof on it once the provision has been raised to purchase the necessary supplies. He was also able to bless the hungry villagers with Bibles as well as food.

Progress is being made!

Dear Friend,

I wanted to send you pictures, showing how much progress has been made on the first LifeLight Kingdom Community Center, which is known as the Kingdom Building Centre and is found in the predominantly Muslim area of Machinga in Malawi.

With just the help of one person, Pastor Stanley was able to use all the bricks that he bought in February at a vastly reduced price, completing the walls of the current section of the Kingdom Building Centre.

He sent me an estimate of the materials that are needed before the rainy season comes in order to protect the work that has already been done. Here is the list of what is needed, and the estimated cost:

1. 80 iron sheets.
2. 60 pieces of timber.
3. 15 kgs for nails.
4. 5 kgs wires.

The estimated cost for these materials is $1800. It’s extremely important that the roofing can be completed prior to the rainy season in order to protect the work that has already been done.
